Baking & Beverage Preparation Course
The “Baking & Beverage Preparation” course is designed as a hands-on, experiential learning model that enables students to explore their passions, develop essential life skills, and cultivate a modern, career-oriented mindset.
Course Objectives
- Provide foundational knowledge and basic techniques in baking and drink preparation.
- Encourage students to develop scientific work habits, precision, and creativity.
- Spark interest in future careers in the culinary and service industries.
- Strengthen soft skills such as teamwork, presentation, time management, and personal responsibility.
Course Content
The course spans 12 weeks and follows the model of practice – experience – feedback, including:
Baking:
- Identifying basic ingredients and tools
- Basic baking techniques: sponge cakes, cream puffs, cookies, egg tarts…
- Cake decoration by theme (birthday, festive holidays, etc.)
Beverage Preparation:
- Practicing measurement – portioning – flavor balancing
- Making juices, smoothies, milk tea, sodas…
- Drink presentation techniques – following professional bar standards
- Ingredient and equipment management
- Service etiquette and operations in a simulated café environment
Each session includes a “Mini Challenge” where students present their own creative ideas and receive direct feedback from instructors.
