Introduction

Nguyen Binh Khiem Secondary and High School was established under Decision No. 2836/QĐ-UB-NC dated June 5, 1997. It is one of the reputable private schools in Ho Chi Minh City. Over nearly 30 years of development, the School has remained steadfast in its mission: “To nurture well-rounded students – Proficient in foreign languages, equipped with essential skills, and confident to step into the world.”

The School was founded with the wholehearted dedication of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Manh Hung – the founder of Hong Bang International University and a renowned historian with over 30 years of teaching experience at prestigious international institutions such as Osaka University (Japan) and the University of California (USA). From this extensive academic journey, he brought back to Vietnam an educational model that harmonizes academic excellence with core human values, establishing a liberal and inspiring learning environment for the younger generation.

Objective

“To evolve into a model private general school, leading in comprehensive education and global integration.”

At Nguyen Binh Khiem Secondary and High School, we believe that every student is a unique individual with their own potential — deserving of encouragement, cultivation, and holistic development.

Core Values

“Humanity – Holistic Development – Creativity – Global Integration – Responsibility”

“For the sake of ten years, we must plant trees; for the sake of a hundred years, we must cultivate people.” This teaching of President Ho Chi Minh has always served as the guiding principle for teachers and students at Nguyen Binh Khiem Secondary and High School. Throughout nearly three decades of growth, the School has consistently nurtured enduring values, aiming not only to impart knowledge but also to enrich the soul, shape character, and ignite a passion for meaningful and responsible living. In that spirit, the school community has embraced and promoted five core values: Humanity – Holistic Development – Creativity – Global Integration – Responsibility.

The first and most cherished value is Humanity – because at the heart of education is not only knowledge, but also compassion. At Nguyen Binh Khiem, every student is heard, understood, and nurtured with genuine care. A humane learning environment is one that opens hearts, shapes personalities, and fosters deep connections between teachers, students, and families.

Complementing this spirit of empathy is the commitment to Holistic Development – empowering students to grow not only academically but also emotionally, ethically, physically, and socially. At Nguyen Binh Khiem, students do not only learn to pass exams, but to understand themselves, others, and the world around them.

On this journey, Creativity is the essence that sets each learner apart. The School encourages students to think differently, act boldly, explore, and innovate. From the classroom to experiential activities, students are inspired to cultivate independent thinking and actively create new value.

To learn is not only to know or to do, but also to integrate into the world. That is the long-term vision Nguyen Binh Khiem persistently pursues. Through language training, soft skills, and global mindset development, students are prepared to step confidently into the international arena. Yet, integration does not mean assimilation; NBK students proudly carry their cultural identity and values as they participate in global learning communities.

Lastly, Responsibility is an essential trait of every citizen in today’s world. At Nguyen Binh Khiem, students are guided to live responsibly — toward themselves, their families, their communities, and the environment. Responsibility builds resilience, and it is also the ultimate goal of a meaningful and mature education.

With these five core values, Nguyen Binh Khiem Secondary and High School is not merely a place for academic learning, but a nurturing ground where students are inspired, supported, and guided in shaping their future — through knowledge, character, and the aspiration to reach new horizons.

Educational Philosophy

“Education is a journey to nurture the whole person.”

To “nurture the whole person” means supporting students in their balanced development of intellect, character, skills, and emotions. At Nguyen Binh Khiem School, students learn not only to excel academically, but also to live with kindness, compassion, and responsibility — fully prepared to step into the world with confidence and integrity.
